I like having a small fenced in area for the dogs. We have a nice set up -- in our opinion. IT's not trashy looking. Keeps our dogs in and other's dogs out. Never had any complaints about it anywhere we've camped. But if we aren't sitting right beside them, they are not in the ex-pen. If a campground wouldn't allow it, we either go to plan b or find another campground. I believe in following the rules.
