Yes, I agree. Your pet right now still has some quality of life. He eats, he can walk on his own, and go to the bathroom on his own. When our beloved Champ began to lose control of his hind legs, was in pain, and could not get up on his own, that was time. Our vet stood by and helped us through this even tearing up when he gave him the injection. Our Missy, is 15 1/2, partially blind, partially deaf, is on blood pressure medication, but she still is active and follows me everywhere. It's not her time yet. I will know when her quality of life deteriorates beyond, way beyond what it is now. We have been truly blessed both with all our pets and our vet.
