road trip with dog???
We are thinking of taking our 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog on our month long family road trip this year. We live in PA and were thinking of the Grand Canyon area, but I don't know how dog friendly...

We travel full time and have a dog.
If we are going someplace where dogs are not allowed she stays 'home' and watches TV.
A few issues when traveling with a dog:
SOME campgrounds limit the size of dogs allowed (and some have breed restrictions) so check with CG first.
We can't leave her alone inside rv as long as we use to cause she can't hold her bladder as long (she is 14 now....being traveling for 7 yrs.)
Water sources....some dogs don't like different water. Fortunately our old hound will drink anything form anywhere and not have problems.
Road side stops.....necessary. I usually have to stop before the dog makes mention. Good chance for a little walk and play after being in vehicle for awhile....dog likes it too.
