Our former Class C had linoleum in the "hallway" at the foot of the bed. I could see that the dogs jumping off the bed were going to land on the slippery surface, so I put a small rubber-back bathroom rug as sort of a landing pad.
Eons ago, my best friend had a wonderful sheltie that was very close to her UDX (high-level obedience). They had rented an RV of some sort - all I remember was my friend calling in tears because the dog had jumped off a bed and slipped on the linoleum and hurt her back - enough so that her competing days were ended.
