For those of you with kennels. Albeit you still have to shovel a path to the kennel or carrying them if you can I found a real slick way to keep ahead of the snow so you don't have to keep dig out all the time.
I put one of those thick rubber 'horse stall mats' in the kennel. No matter how cold it is the sun heats up the mat during the day so snow melts when it hits it.
Also keeps the dogs feet warm so they STAY out there long enough to do 'all' their business. Which eliminated that in and out all day when it's cold out.
I'd find mine laying flat out on the mat in the middle of the day when the temps where freezing because the sun had heated up the stall mat! :C
