We actually snow blow everything but the back deck/stairs, front porch stairs, and the bridge we built over the run-off stream. The big kennel is on the other side of the stream and the little kennel against the house. We snow blow paths to the shed, trash barrels and big kennel, which the dogs will run through, and shovel a small area inside the kennel gate. After that the snow shoes come out and we tromp down some of the snow. Jesse loves to bound through it-the deeper the better-but Jake prefers it already flattened. I miss our bloodhound. He LOVED the snow and when it we really deep (one winter we had about 5 feet on the ground) all you'd see is his nose sticking up and his tail!
