So about the puppies

Build a fenced in run for the dogs so they can't get to the trailer. Most places recommend fencing in dogs to keep them safe from traffic and other dangers.

Or get a portable fence to go around your trailer

We periodically have issues with the sheep under our trailer (parking is next to one of the barns); they have chewed wires and pulled the Al siding off the bottom wedge of an outside wall. I've been thinking about cutting strips of vinyl lattice to block access to under the trailer while leaving access for us to the steps.

The chickens like rooting around under the trailer; Sam likes laying under the trailer in the summer.

Your local Feed and Grain store or Tractor Supply sell a product called Bitter Apple. It comes in a one pint spray bottle. Spray your wires with this and nothing, from puppies to pack rats will ever touch your wires again. While it is non toxic resist the temptation to taste this stuff, the guy at the store was emphatic about this.... he said "you'll be sorry" doesn't even come close to covering it.

Not necessarily. Some dogs are immune or even like the taste.

Yes! Once worked with a joker who liked to spray mace on the squad-room door knob. It's not long before you just naturally get your hands around your face.... or worse.

Nope, mom didn't raise that big of a fool. The guy convinced me I did not want to go down that road and I did not. Suffice it to say I believed him and am simply sharing that knowledge to save someone else from a very rude surprise/experience.

For the record I have a very hard time believing any dog would willingly/repeatedly lick this stuff. I've owned some stupid dogs in my life but none that dumb.
