Guess I am too! :B
Seriously my SIL has had more than one lab that has not been turned off by it at all. You'd also think a dog would be bright enough to not run across an electric fence but they do. I, for one, can't understand how a human can find sushi palatable, but some do. I guess it just falls under the "gotta see it to believe it".
We had a husky when I was a kid. He could unlock the door to the garage (and would then visit friends all over town). My dad finally decided to outwit the dog - so he ran electric wire around the door. Every morning, my dad put the husky out back (with access to the garage) and after my dad left for work, my mom would watch the dog step on the door frame. If he got a shock, he went and laid down. If he didn't get a shock, he'd unlock and open the door and take off...
He also came home one time with a new collar. There was a note attached that said "He wanted a new collar so we put it on your bill" - he had gone across town to visit the local pet shop.
Some dogs just have to prove they're smarter than you (and unfortunately, they do it very well).
