With 24 hours of hindsight - I put this off WAY too long. I can try to justify it with being "fragile" after losing Ike - and Ed takes these things way harder than I do. We saw the changes in Jack, and hoped it was temporary. But the difference in my other two dogs is dramatic: they no longer have to sneak to their dish to eat. They can take an uninterrupted nap (Jack was famous for stepping on them as he paced). They can freely romp through the house without being bitten. They can walk through the kitchen while I prepare food and not get snapped at.
I should have put Jack down about 9 months ago, when the aggression first started and his bloodwork showed he was "normal".
