Stinky dog

Our 3 y/o rescued doxie, Maddie, every once in awhile...maybe once a week or so...puts off a nasty odor. Not sure if it is coming from the butt or vaginal area. She acts peculiar when this happens. Could this be coming from the anal glands?? We have a vet appt. tomorrow. Thanks for reply.

Perhaps her anal glands need to be expressed.

Taking her to the vet is the best thing if you're not sure. Please let us know what they say.

I know that smell... it's awful! Penny, 2 yr old golden mix, has the same stench every once in a while. I think it's from the anal gland. Curious to hear what your vet says. Agnes

Food! I bet it is what your feeding her. lamb is one ingredient that will make dogs fart terribly
