Teaching an old dog new tricks
BF and I recently rescued a dog. She is part pit and part traveling salesman from what I can tell. I'll post a pic and you all can give me your best guess. Also, I'm guessing she's around 5 years old....

Oh, wow, very kind of you, but you've got your work cut out. Somebody dumped her for a reason and the first thing I'd do is get her to a vet and see if she's spayed. People often dump female dogs when they realize they've gotten pregnant. So she's housebroken? Doesn't potty in the house? That's a biggie. Maybe she was an outside dog? "New" dogs are often on their good behavior for awhile, so keep a close eye out for aggression. Somebody will be along with good, practical advice for you, but your heart is definitely in the right place. Thanks for taking her in.
