Teaching an old dog new tricks
BF and I recently rescued a dog. She is part pit and part traveling salesman from what I can tell. I'll post a pic and you all can give me your best guess. Also, I'm guessing she's around 5 years old....

I had to put my trashcan up on a stool or under the sink, for 13 years my ***** always disobeyed this rule, never put it in the pantry that's unsanitary. I use a squirt bottle when my new dog acts up. it takes time but it works. if I leave the bottle out when she sees me going for it the behavior is corrected, this takes time. I'm not proud of this but one time a dog of mine snapped on me, gave me 5 stitches in my hand, I took it to an inch of its life and it always respected my authority without any hesitation and was a very good boy after that.
