Transport for Kitty

We are relocating in our Class A 30ft FR3 from So. California to Spokane, WA on March 4. Our primary home sold so we are loading up and heading North with intent on finding our new home with help of our fantastic Real Estate Agent. We will be traveling with our 6 yo Golden, 13 yo. Yorkie, 1.5 yo Chi-Terrier (all travel worthy), 10 y.o. Tabby and my love Neeko, 17 y.o. feline. So...a FULL house! We need to find reputable, safe transport (ground) for our 8 yo Male Long Hair Tabby named: Alley aka Two Ears. He is our rescue that had his ears burnt off a year ago but terrible people and he found love and hope with us. His love is unconditional. Current on all vaccines, no health issue, crate ready with a destination to our Boarding Vet in Liberty Lake, WA. If you can assist or have recommendations all appreciated. I can't seem to upload his pic here and would LOVE to.
  • The most annoying thing in the (rv petstop) world has to be people that come in and ask for advice and then never follow up.
  • I also am wondering why they can not take that one. Do they not like him?
  • Are you needing to get transport for him for some particular reason? Behavior? He's just the one that won't fit?

I wouldn't hand someone one of my cats for a road trip on a billion dollar bet. Cats are skittish and having strangers handle them is just too risky for me. If I was going to have someone transport, I'd buy them a plane ticket and have them go up and back and take kitty in the cabin. If you could find someone who needs to go up there, you could maybe split the cost.
  • One of our cats has two forms of cancer, plus thyroid, plus kidneys. He is on up to 5 meds a day, he hates the travel days, but loves being with us on non-travel days.

Just have to ask if you are taking 'all' the other cats why not take this one too? Why leave just him out of the equation? If they are traveling safely in your MH in crates I don't see why this cat's crate wouldn't fit?

    :h

    X....10!

I'm thinkin' that you need to be more descriptive of this cat's "special" needs...why can't he travel with the rest of you, and what accommodations would you expect others to make that you can't?
  • We crate and carry the cats in the truck nearly every trip. Being old and cranky they let us know when we need to stop for biffy breaks and/or for the day (they are often done earlier then we or the dogs are)
