lol. our cat used to walk with us around the cakpground on a leash. then one day 'Samantha' refused the leash. my wife claims that the feral cats running loose in the CG told our cat to 'cut it out!'.

Both our cats (RIP)were rescues and one traveled with us for 20 years in our 24ft travel trailer. They slept a lot in the SUV and romp around in the trailer but not at night. They were great travel companions and went everywhere with us.

I rescued my kitty at 6 years old, she's now 10. She rides in the 5er and just goes to sleep until we get there. She's changed my camping habits in that she needs bushes and trees, so no more casino parking lots or truck stops or Walmarts.

when we first started this RV thing we traveled with our cat in a 26' class a MH: the only pblm: one day she learned how to crawl into the dash from the driver's side and then she crawled thru the dash across to the passenger side. taking the dash apart was not an option so i use a small phillips screwdriver and gently poking her backside thru the vents i encouraged her to back out. from that point forward we used several small pieces of plywood to block the underside of the dash by the foot controls.

cats are curious and can fit into pretty small spaces. when we traded for a new MH we had their shop "kitty proof" the RV...block access under the dash and a few other places (the shop guys still talk about it). my advice is to kitty proof your trlr.
