- sher9570ExplorerJust a quick question....when my old cat JJ had horrible liver numbers no one was sure he would make it.
He was given a antibiotic shot that I can't remember the name of it but was good for ten days to two weeks.
He also got a steroid injection that was a similar period of time.
Is BenBen getting anything right now?
JJ did get better, we have had to repeat it a couple of times and he's going to celebrate his 19th birthday in August.
Sher - sher9570ExplorerI am so very sorry to hear this, my heart breaks for you and BenBen.
He has certainly fought the battle but unfortunately it usually is a losing one.
You got time you thought you might not get and I'm so happy you did.
But now my eyes are leaking a little to much so I'll just say you are both in my prayers.
Sher - CroweExplorerSo sorry to hear. Sometimes things just aren't meant to be. Your love for BenBen will help guide you on the right path.
- AZPopsExplorerSo sorry to hear of BenBen's update Barb. All the best!
Pops - nabiExplorerI am so sorry...Each and everyday will now become a special memory for you...wish things had turned out better for BenBen.
- dturmModeratorSorry Barb. I wish the chemo for this disease gave more than 6-9 months of remission. You are making tough decisions.
Doug - RBakExplorerSo sorry, Barb. I was glad to learn he was feeling better, but now this is a setback that's so hard to take. You have given him the love and care he needs, and as painful as it will be, your final act of love will be to let him go. Bless you and your family - all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Rita - colliehaulerExplorer IIIBarb so sorry to hear this. I know the rollor coaster of emotions. The only way to look at it is all the time you gave him that he would not have had. When I took Mikko to K-state for his leg I could not help but think of all the trips with Strider for his chemo.
- kokosfriendExplorerI spoke too soon. He was doing so well and I had hopes. Friday took him to vet and blood work is bad. We will be letting letting him go when he appears uncomfortable. Will not do chemo again as it is his liver now.
Barb - CroweExplorerCongrats!
