Update on Zari
unfortunately , Zari tested positive for ehrlichiosis. The first blood sample had a problem so when the vet called to say she needed to come back in for another sample we said she was feeling better.....

Several years ago our dachsund, Gus, came down with tick fever. A couple of weeks on antibiotics (doxycycline of course!) and he was fine. IIRC the vet continued to do the blood test to check his progress for a while after he started on the meds. Hope the treatment works as well for Zari as it did for Gus.
