I have two dogs, went in today to get their nails trimmed and their two shots. got dewormed and temp taken and it cost me $264 dollars. I thought I was going to need oxygen before I got my debit card ...

This is a pretty perverted way of looking at the situation. No lab ever tells us what is wrong. Diagnosis is always a function of a DVM not a lab tech or a machine.Doug, DVM

I am fully aware it's the function of a DVM, but this particular clinic that just went corporate, the vets won't even offer up a prelim diagnosis without a full blood panel for just about everything.
My hometown vet could diagnosis just about anything and everything, and correctly I might add, with out requiring a blood test.
Back in the day blood tests were utilized when it was a difficult diagnosis and the blood work up could help point you in the right direction on a difficult diagnosis.
I miss my vet from up North SO much. :(
