Interesting question in as much for year's(decades)I didn't do a lot of reading on the difference's between pet foods. I think most our doggies lived very well on Costco brand dry foods. With our last group of rescues(Cavalier King Charles), we had 4 rescued separately, I began to realize that with the cost of Vet care where it is...it was foolish for us not to invest in quality products(No knock on Costco at all). So now our "kids" get Blue Wilderness canned(had used Newman's Own also) and Orijen Senior Dry. They Love it!!
