We started on a "premium" food recommended by the people we bought our Bichon mix from. She seemed to do all right, but then we were in a place where we couldn't get it, so we switched to Canidae. We quickly learned that food matters. On the Canidae, she didn't vomit. She would occasionally throw up the practically undigested kibble of the "premium" brand.
Later we moved to a small town where Canidae is not available. Now we have her and a more recently acquired doxie mix rescue on Premium Choice chicken and vegetable. They are both thriving. At their last checkups, the vet said they are hale and hearty. No digestive issues at all.
