My boxer doesn't do well on the "premium" brands and doesn't keep weight on eating grain free like all of my other boxers did. He currently eats Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach and Skin (not my choice, but he does okay on it...). He also does well on Holistic Select Anchovy and Sardine. He seems to do best on fish-based kibbles.
My little dog, Maddie, has numerous allergies, so she is limited in what she can tolerate. She is doing well eating the Acana Singles line, rotating through all three proteins, changing after each bag.
