I tell my dogs if they don't like the food I buy them, they can start doing the grocery shopping. I've also suggested that if they're bored all day while I work, they can clean the house. So far, they just look at me from their couch in the air conditioned room and laugh.Just be grateful Calvin isn't a bird. Then you'd get the "you're trying to kill me with this crap" screech!

Mostly I tell Dahkota get out of the way. He wants to walk in front of me or get in front and stop. He likes to run by me or through my legs going into the door nearly tripping me.
If i caan find a set of rear view mirrors for a dog, he's going to get a set.

We always tell our little Pomaranian good bye, take care of the place and see you in a little bit right before we leave. If we are gone for what she thinks is to long she yells at us when we get back home.
She starts running around and barking directly at us like a parent would do if their child missed curfew.

Sorry Calvin. Those days in movies they did not allow female dogs to act - something about them being "less trainable" and "less obedient". Bat-dog says that she thinks it was a very chauvinistic attitude and she, for one, thinks that a girl dog would have done a much better job of it because she'd think for herself and insist on script changes - really, that whole "Timmy's in the well" stuff was a joke. RinTinTin never needed to be told what to do - he was a REAL dog!!
