What's the oddest Pet rule you've encountered at an RV Park?

We don't have that rule at the park we in now, but I can understand a possible reason. Many dog owners here allow their dogs to wander on the front lawns while they walk down the street. The dogs will do their business on someone's lawn and it will get picked up (most of the time). Unfortunately, how can you pick up pee? Many non - dog owners like to go barefoot and don't like the idea of stepping in pee. I realize the non - dog owners might be unrealistic but I can understand, they have a right to have a "clean" yard. When I walk my dog, she is never allowed on anyone's lawn until we get to the dog walk area. I have even cleaned up her poop from the street because she couldn't wait. Just would like these other dog owners to realize they have to be considerate of the non - dog people - or else our park could have a new rule like the one above.

One place we go has a rule that you can't leave pets inside an RV while you're gone. It means you have to take them everywhere you go. What I see at the park a lot of people break this rule.

I once had a ranger walk up to me and ask me if my pet was on a leash, as per their leash rules. We both laughed. I camp with a bird.

I think the oddest thing is that we've all commented on the OPs experience but no one, myself included, has listed any other odd pet rules in parks. I take that to mean there are no other rules we deem odd....guess no one has been to Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral...they won't let you leave your pet inside your coach if you're gone.....Dennis

I ran across a park that welcomed pets as long as they weighed under 25 lbs. To me that's not a dog, but a rat on a leash. Our baby (GS) weighs a little over 65 lbs.
I like staying at Military RV parks. Their pet rules are basically dog on a leash, clean up after, and keep them quiet.

I had always wondered if an RV park would enforce the "pets allowed in the pet area only" and wondered how they expected the pet to get from Point A to Point B and now you have answered the question.

I hear you Pops and I agree with you! Never encountered the problem which is a good thing...we don't bring a car either just have our RV.but we don't stay in upscale parks...usually state parks...not as many strict rules.

That is surprising but I haven't been to the Wachula park yet. We did stay at the Chimacum, WA park and the one in Roseberg, OR and they were great and very pet friendly.

I agree that a rule like this seems a little bit over the top.

A little off topic but I saw in a report about the areas surrounding Ferguson, MO that a woman received a $1,000 fine for letting her pitbull urinate in her yard without a leash. Still digesting that one.
