Since the Thanksgiving and Christmas season just ended it will probably become more active. Not much time for forums during that season. - CA_POPPYExplorerYou missed my all-time favorite, Walter:
"Why are people always telling me I should neuter my male dog????"
And my next fav:
Does anybody know a good breeder of cocka-doxie-poos?" - NiasWagnExplorer

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa there pardner. Before you can join the core group, we have to know what kinda dog food you think is best. Then, we get to tell you why it's the wrong food. If you put up a good argument, then you get to join the core group.
So are there openings in the core group then? :) I'll jump in....
It's really that simple!:)
Sadly, I don't know what the best is. There are so many out there I think it's easier to close on a new house. Maybe I'm just not fit for the core group after all. Is there something in between core and lurker? - AZPopsExplorer

I noticed that too. Forum has pretty much been whittled down to a parts, equipment question forum starting right around when GS took over.
Started wondering if the admin actually was blocking any of the more interesting friendly RV posts since they don't exist anymore.
I actually did a search to see if there was another forum every one jumped ship to.:W
Good idea, nevur though about that.NiasWagn wrote:

She has recently figured out that sticking her cold wet nose in my ear gets her my full undivided attention. She loves camping.
We needs pitchers! Pitchers are extremely important with this group! ...NiasWagn wrote:

Don't worry about Walter, he just loves a debate, ... about food! As well as inquiring about what to feed a pet that he doesn't have! ...
Pops - rockhillmanorExplorerOh...Ok...I'll start another dog food thread.
Blue Buffalo is STILL not putting the appropriate amount of life source bits in their dog food.
Perhaps to increase their profit line per bag?
AND
They have added a very small round bone like substance in the kibble that does NOT digest.
Perhaps to add weight to the food? - Dandy_DanExplorerAZPops, Besides DOTL Daddy you might look at the Old Fella thread if you want some reading about an old dog.It started in September 2005 and has not stopped making it the longest running thread in the RV.Net history. It has over 2300 posts with over a Million looks. Good story if you have time to read it.

They also continue to advertise "Gluten Free" and "No Corn" as if it made a difference. In 37 years of practicing veterinary medicine I have never seen or heard of in the literature a gluten intolerant dog - they may be out there but talk about FAD. We've tried to address the misconceptions about corn - but that seems to be a never ending project.
Now if you can address these issues, you can officially be added to the core membership.

Doug, our vet says the very same thing. She says BB is all about marketing and not about nutrition. Worse than that, BB put weight on our small dogs that they did not need. We now have Darcy on Royal Canin weight control dry food and she is looking and feeling great. I wish I had made the change years ago and perhaps Rosie would've lasted longer. - rockhillmanorExplorer

X2
I am also worried about the long term affect of the newest fad of feeding only 'no grain' dog food.
The % of fat and protein in this dog food is off the charts. AND I don't think the average pet owner even notices that. Many times seriously increasing their pets fat and protein over the dog food they were currently feeding until all the news said feed no grain!:R
IMHO we will be seeing more and more kidney, liver and obesity problems and shortening the seniors lives. And no one will put two and two together. :( - nabiExplorerI am unable to get any quality dog food here...there is a shop that sells Royal Canin but Izzy did not do well on it when we tried it before...so I am back to making all their food...just waiting for my jar of vitamin/nutritional supplement powder Wayne sent from Canada...I still have a small amount of Wellness left that I brought with us and I am adding it too their homemade diet until I get the supplement powder...luckily I knew what was needed from making Bellas food ...and its not like I have anything else to do down here LOL
