Your dogs minstrel cycle (menstrual) effects of traveling

My dog is fairly regular and I keep track of when she is due to come into heat, HoweverI have noticed that last year and it appears that this year traveling has thrown off her cycle. Maybe it has some...

How old is your dog? I was always told that if you don't spay a female, they will eventually get pyometra. Don't know if that's true or not, but I have had several females through rescue who were older and were full of pyometra when they were spayed.
