250' og RG-6
If we are going to have satellite tv (DIRECTV SD) at the camp we will have a 250' run of cable. I like my trees better than tv. Doing a little googling I see a distribution amplifier is recommended...

OK guys sounds good. I can get a bulk roll of rg-6 not sure of the length but hope to not have to splice it more than once.
The amplifiers, if I need one, do they come with a single input with a single output or are they more for multiple connections?
Roy I know what you mean about the over-the-air signals. I rarely use our dish when I can pickup a few digital signals.
