If we are going to have satellite tv (DIRECTV SD) at the camp we will have a 250' run of cable. I like my trees better than tv. Doing a little googling I see a distribution amplifier is recommended...

I have used one of the small, under $15 at the time, in line boosters which jumped the signal strength noticeably.
