If we are going to have satellite tv (DIRECTV SD) at the camp we will have a 250' run of cable. I like my trees better than tv. Doing a little googling I see a distribution amplifier is recommended...

I believe you will also find that different TVs display SD better or worse. Also, after seeing HD, SD looks terrible!
