Our Borough Public Works Dept didn't know enough to worry, so when I said I needed Internet connectivity in the Emergency Operations Center they ran me a 300 foot run of indoor cat-5 cable. To their credit, where it went underground to cross the work yard they did bury it inside PVC. Once again they proved it isn't worth the energy to over-think the non-lethal issues.
