I have read about the advantages of 5GHZ WIFI. Also have read that it does not penetrate walls, etc. very well. Are folks encountering enough campgrounds with 5GHZ systems to make it worth buying a WI...

As a Internet provider we deploy 700 MHz, 2.4GHz and 5 GHz networks. We can go 14 miles with 2.4GHz and 10 miles with 5GHz. We provide 1Mbs on 2.4GHz and up to 10Mbs on 5GHz. We are limited to 40 or fewer subscribers on 2.4GHz APs, but can do 250 subscribers on 5GHz. There are no additional restrictions on 5GHz. We provide the wireless Internet to subscribers whose ILEC doesn't provide rural broadband. We have converted most of them now to 1Gbs fiber over the last 5 years.
