Hello, all. In a few days I plan on purchasing the Ipad mini tablet and have a couple of questions perhaps you can help me with:1. I believe Ipad 2 is the latest model but I see no designation online stating that the mini is Ipad 2. Does that only apply to the 10" model?2. I've read portions of the book "Ipad for Dummies" and didn't see anything related to security. Does the Ipad Mini include a firewall and/or some sort of malware protection? If not, can an anti-malwsare program be installed?3. If I desire to use a different browser than the one installed (I believe it's Safari) can I download and install the Chrome browser?Thanks for your assistance....

The IPAD Air is the latest full sized IPad. The IPad Mini with Retina display is the latest mini. You don't need all those malware/antivirus products that are so prevalent on windows devices. The built in browser (Safari) is actually quite good.You should Go Here to compare current models.I just got a mini for Christmas and it is the older version. Works fine for me.

DW has the original iPad mini and loves it . The iPad mini retina is the current versionThe nice thing is the iPads are secure at least as of now you don't need or want any malware prevention junk cluttering it up. Welcome to the Apple world ;-) Chrome is a free app .. But as others have said Safari is integrated and works very well and fast she tried chrome but didn't like it even though she uses chrome on her MacBook Pro I believe.
