The big thing is the $30.99 higher cost, PLUS the $9 S&H. I have found several places that will sell the baseplate for $399 with FREE shipping. The shipping would be $40 without a membership, so for a non-member $429.99 plus $40 S&H versus $399. Hmmmm! Even for members that's $40 more!
