No it's hardwired into the car. As a DirecTV subscriber, I have their unlimited data plan. They disable the WiFi hotspot feature on the phones, however. I'm surprised that they're offering it in the cars. I guess they figure with the limitations (key on being most significant) that data usage would be pretty limited.
