By the $10 if you're referring to the car version then my understanding is that the car version only takes height into account if you use the RV profile. There are no settings for weight, width or length. In addition there are two heights (12'-6" and 13') that you pick from only. Supposedly the RV version, like their $150 truck version takes full vehicle criteria into account when routing. There is also campground and truck stop POI categories in the RV version. No map difference to my knowledge.
I don't think anyone would be privy to their algorithm as that would have to be protected intellectual property. However, if the routes did not take into account all of that RV profile data, in my opinion they would be bordering on false advertising because here's exactly what they say in there product description in the App Store:
RV ROUTING: Create your own personal routing profile(s) with your RV’s height, weight and length so you only drive on roads suitable for your RV.
