All American Direct, Distant Networks shut down

All American Direct is stopping Distant Network service the end of February. Anyone out there found an alternative. If not, no more network programs when on the road. :(

The subject here is, apparently, DNS for Dish network.

    The subject service provider.

Still don't understand. Are you trying to add some kind of helpful information? We all know that AAD provides the DNS services for Dish so I am not understanding what you are trying to say here. The subject is DNS and not Dish.

I called All American and I believe they told me they would shut down the 21st Feb. I am not looking forward to shutdown as I have had for 8 or 10 years

    There website says this:
All American Direct will cease operations on February 25th 2014 at 11:59 pm. At that time our services will no longer be available.

This was not Dish service but Dish "could" provide the service if they want to. I think they stopped providing it because they were losing money providing it for $5/month. Hopefully, they will step up and serve their customers but if they do, expect a price increase.
In the meantime you can still call Dish and give them a local address and zip code (be sure you provide a correct zip code) and they will activate the locals from that area. You won't have to call every time you move, only every time you move far enough to leave that spot beam. This might be as few as 200 miles but it could be as far a 400-500 miles. This is free and can also be done online using the customer support chat line.
