So are you guys going with no ID theft protection?
I've never signed up (paid) for any, mostly because I tend to think of ID theft as it would be associated with CC fraud. And our CC's have been very aggressive at finding non-legit charges and shutting things down until the stuff can be straightened out.
However, I suspect 'ID theft' encompasses more than just CC's.
I guess I'm just trying to ferret out whether there's anything to all the scary ID theft commercials and stories, and if we are at a point where ID theft insurance should be considered as strongly as other insurance (home, car, liability, etc)?
Has anybody had a case of ID theft or known someone who has?
