Am I The Only One Who Noticed?

After giving feedback in the form of a review for a product purchased from Camping World's website we wondered why our review was never posted although others dated later were.
Upon further inspection we noticed only reviews of 4-5 stars were posted. Then we started checking out other products. Lo and behold, no products on the Camping World web site show any reviews less than 4 stars. Not only that, I searched for all products on the site that only had a 1 star review. It showed many available but when you go to any of those items you only see reviews listed that are at least 4 stars. Do you suppose this is because everyone who has ever purchased from Camping World is just so happy with their products that they have nothing negative to say about it or is Camping World selectively choosing reviews which means the reviews are not a real-world indication of what people think?
BTW... I was told my review would be reviewed and posted within 14 days. I assumed that was to insure I used no inappropriate language and not because I gave an unfavorable review.
I will take my money and shop elsewhere!

    All the usual CW haters show up on cue. How pathetic a life. Had any research been done this would have been found in FAQ's;

    Does it have a freezer system to keep the ice cold until it is emptied?

    No, this will keep ice for a short period only. For longer storage of ice, transfer it to a cooler.

    Or this in the product description;

    This is only an ice maker. It does not keep your ice frozen. Once the ice maker is full of ice, the ice needs to be removed and placed into a cooler and the ice maker will then continue making ice.

    And now the rest of the story courtesy of fla-gypsy. Thanks.

    I bet the poster is feeling a little foolish complaining that the product does not do what the manufacturer specifically said it will not do. Next time read the directions before complaining.

    I'm not surprised, this is exactly Mr. Lomois' style.

    Many people have said: "Say anything you want about me as long as you spell my name right."

    The name is spelled:"Lemonis"

    I can't speak for others but yes, I should have read the entire freikin page including the FAQ's since the description was very poorly written. BTW...The line in the description that you included in your post, "This is only an ice maker. It does not keep your ice frozen..." has been added since I purchased the product so apparently someone in the right place read my original post. My mission is complete and if you go read the description of the other ice maker, item #55033 you will see that nowhere on the page does it state it does not keep ice frozen. Once again you have to rely on the FAQ's. Now anyone purchasing will know that this ice maker is not also an ice keeper so placing it outside on a table during hot weather is a pretty stupid idea should you want to have friends over for happy hour. Instead of sitting outside enjoying the great weather everyone would be continually going in and out getting ice from the freezer. Kind of negates the purpose doesn't it?

    My original post was not to bash CW but to point out they do not post reviews rated less than 4 stars which as far as I'm concerned is akin to not giving the customer all the facts! Again, my bad for being old fashioned and forgetting business no longer cares about honesty and the customer but only about making the rich richer.
  • I feel you frustration OP, but it is very wise, And I do it all the time, read question that other have asked, it's not a FAQ like one poster stated, but just questions and answers from normal people

    Good calling it out OP. Your intent on the original post was not lost on me. But someone is always waiting in the wings to make someone else look like a fool. I hate know-it-alls.....
  • I read an article about Amazons reviews. Sorry it been a while don't have a link.

    They give products to people to review. Their sales info shows that a product with negative reviews sold better than a product with zero reviews.
  • All I'm going to say is a certain tool company HF, has reviews on their site, and they definitely don't edit them, there's the good, the bad and the UUGLY.
