Am I The Only One Who Noticed?

After giving feedback in the form of a review for a product purchased from Camping World's website we wondered why our review was never posted although others dated later were.
Upon further inspection we noticed only reviews of 4-5 stars were posted. Then we started checking out other products. Lo and behold, no products on the Camping World web site show any reviews less than 4 stars. Not only that, I searched for all products on the site that only had a 1 star review. It showed many available but when you go to any of those items you only see reviews listed that are at least 4 stars. Do you suppose this is because everyone who has ever purchased from Camping World is just so happy with their products that they have nothing negative to say about it or is Camping World selectively choosing reviews which means the reviews are not a real-world indication of what people think?
BTW... I was told my review would be reviewed and posted within 14 days. I assumed that was to insure I used no inappropriate language and not because I gave an unfavorable review.
I will take my money and shop elsewhere!

  • None of the unfavorable reviews that I submitted to Camping World have been published.

I submitted one scathing review on a product (and Camping World's pathetic packaging) once and they went as far as sending my review to the manufacturer in an email, requesting that the manufacturer get in touch with me. I had no idea this was going on until I received an email from the manufacturer asking what they could do to make things better for me. I could see the previous correspondence from Camping World to the manufacturer in the attached emails. They never posted that review, either.

I trust the reviews on Amazon. That's where I shop for my camping needs now.

Unless it's an independent site for reviews, I sure wouldn't expect a web store to post negative reviews on their own site.

I guess I am "old school" and still want to believe everyone is on the up and up as far as honesty. I have always purchased according to recommendations from reviews.

amandasgramma...I will heed your advice about Google and change my research methods. Thanks for the tip.
  • We never refer to the selling business' website for reviews. We'll put the product name with "review" after it into google and do our researching that way. But, to comment on what you posted......No, I hadn't noticed it....but I'm sure I will now!!!!!

  • Mine was never posted on tire covers because I made a statement that one cracked, so never believe the reviews
