Amazon Kindle on Samsung Galaxy S5 phone

I have a Amazon Prime account and get books downloaded to my PC and my Samsung Tablet and they both show up as devices on Amazon. But now with my new Galaxy S5 phone it doesn't show up on Amazon. I have tried everything to get the phone to show up on the devices on Amazon. I have the Kindle app and Amazon account on the phone but they don't show my account. I have searched many hours on Google and Amazon. Any help for this?
  • The Amazon Kindle app appears separate from the Amazon app on my Samsung S4, but on my wife's Samsung Note 3 the Kindle app is hidden behind the Amazon app along with Amazon music, App Store, Audible and IMDb.
  • I have even gone the route to deregister the device in settings. That didn't help. I have registered so many time I lost count.

I believe the device limit is 5 for books....

Make very sure the Kindle App is logged into the right account.. A mistyped user name or password will fool you.
  • I am going to ask a simple question. Have you opened/launched the Kindle app on the new phone and logged into your Amazon account using the Kindle app by tapping the Kindle app home button and then scrolled down to settings and "registered the device"?
  • Is there a "device limit", aka how many devices are you allowed to have on your account ?

i think with video you are allowed to down load to only TWO devices

don't know about Kindle format books
  • Yep, just download the Kindle app to your S5. At least that's the way it works on my S4 which I will replace with an S5 in about 2 weeks (upgrade time!).
  • Not sure what is wrong, but just FYI, I do have the amazon Kindle app on my galaxy s5 and I am able to see all the books on my amazon account. The account settings are right with the app
