Yes, Google drive works very well also. You can set Drive so that if you put info in on one of your devices, it will sync across your desk top, laptop, tablet or phone. I tend to find info quicker on my phone, but Drive is great for PDFs, manuals, drawings, pictures, etc.

This thread is puzzling. If you are aware of Google Drive, you must be aware of Google Docs that is a much simpler method of creating documents with information you want to be available on all your devices than using a data field within a contact as
jjjandrbaker points out.
If you are not aware: In Google Drive's My Drive, click on New and Google Docs. Enter text, insert images, create tables or numbered lists, etc. The equivalent of MS Word only free. One of my regular uses (among many others) is for a grocery list.
