Way to go Google!
I'm hoping to see the enterprise / business app providers start ditching Visual-C (and Java), and release their apps in native HTML 5. Microsoft has actually done a pretty good with their Javascript and HTML 5 based Office 365 suite. I need a HTML 5 version of Corel WordPerfect Suite, and an HTML 5 version of IBM iSeries Access ... I could ditch half the PC's in my enterprise for web clients running Android instead. Cutting out the Microsoft licenses to run those PCs on a network would be a HUGE savings.
The other half of the enterprise runs on a bouquet of proprietary Windows apps that deal with various legal documents. Stuff like that took eons to get approved by the State not to mention millions of dollars. I'm sure an Android or web based app will come along sooner or later but I'm not holding my breath.
