Almost every thread the general consensus is that Sprint has such bad coverage I disagree. I have a Sprint Mobile Broadband for 7 years now. Essentially it is phone connection. I have never been without service any where I have traveled.
When you look at these maps don't be taken in by just the overall color. The slight difference in the red color denotes 3g and 4g. They made them the same shade so at a glance to make it appear that overall coverage is so much greater. Read the legend on these maps.
They are about the same for 3g coverage. Verizon appears to have more 4g coverage. I wonder how much of that 'red' coverage is "proposed" 4g towers?
IMHO worrying about having 4g 100% of the time is highly overrated and unless you are a gamer most wouldn't even see the difference and certainly not worth all the cra@p Verizon hands out to customers on a daily basis. And when it comes to just phones? Do you honestly feel the difference if your call got connected by 3g or 4g. :R
I have true unlimited data for a set fee per month no hassles. And with the introduction of their new phone I will be dropping my pita ATT iphone and switching to Sprint. Just saying. IMHO a lot to do about nothing! :B
