The problem with the rvs is that your sitting in a metal can which blocks the signal. I use a Hawking's Smart Repeater which receives the signal and repeats it wireless through out the rig. Connected to that is a Hawking's amplifier and a 9db dipole on the roof. I bolted the dipole to the Maxx Air shroud and used a marine antenna cam to raise and lower it. The dipole is great as you do not have to aim it. This weekend we are going where the signal is very weak and I bought an MFJ Yagi a directional antenna with 15db gain, that I will have to aim. Ill let you know how that is. Keep in mind that this will only work as good as the signal you can grab and how many others are between you and the signal.
