I've read thousands of posts on these forums, and I don't think anyone (except the poster above) had any thing positive to say about Omni Directional antennas.
In spite of all the hoopla and hollar, the old style bat wing antenna is still the best.
Another option is to get one of those "As Seen On TV" flat antennas that attach to the back of your television. They can be purchased anywhere, and most do a pretty good job. You just have to position in front of a window. We had several in our house. When we canceled Satellite TV, I finally used the existing wiring and installed an outside antenna. Um... it's an antenna that over 50 years old! My dad was a Television Repair man. He also installed antennas. It was one my mother still had in her garage attic he never sold. It was never used and never exposed to the elements.... still over 50 years old. I put it on a pole (Mast) at the house, and I pull in all kinds of stations. The bat wing on my TT does too, sitting right beside the house.
So really ... the simpler the antenna, the better off you'll be! Really!
