Why do you ASSUME I didn't try anti-virus programs? I DID run them for years, and went to another approach after getting multiple viruses that they didn't detect. Since dumping the anti-virus programs and administrator mode, I've had zero viruses. So you're telling me to go with what the crowd says instead of what has proven for years to work FOR ME. Have you tried my approach to know that the odds are stacked against me? As the designated nerd in my circle of friends, I continue to see computers with anti-virus software get "infected" while I don't, yet I'm supposed to believe I'm better off doing what the crowd tells me to? I don't mind the disagreement but do mind the slide into name calling. Since the experts here insist I'm an idiot, looks like I just have to say "I'm an idiot and I've been virus-free for 4 years".
Why are you taking this so personal? I dont care what you do LOL. Please re-read my comment. First off I never called you any names, secondly I wrote 'why would you not try to do somethingthat benefits you' and apparently you are. This is not any attack on YOU, its just to say that if someone is doing NOTHING that the chances are they will eventually get a virus.
