Straight talk has two Verizon setups one is 3g and a new setup that is 4g. I have the 3g MIFI that works very well on the Verizon network. The only place I had difficulty with slow and poor connections was in the White Mountains of Vermont. As I understand from other forums the new 4g MIFI service is being throttled to a 3MBS download / 1MBS upload. If this is true, that's not much better than 3G.
