I bought a Straight Talk UMXU240C (Verizon 3G network) just to use while camping. It is no speed deamon by any means but I can get email and surf RV.NET with no problems. I bought mine cheap on ebay. :)
A newer one that looks interesting is the ZTE Z288L and ZTE Z289L. One is Verizon network and one is AT&T network. Both are 4GLTE but reports are that they are throttled to about 3Gb/s download speed.
