Eureka!
It took some poking around but I eventually discovered that the wifiranger people had changed the default IP address of the Bullet from 192.168.1.20 to 192.168.250.20. Once I configured the Bullet per the video you linked, I was able to drop in the WRT54G (configured for static IP address 192.168.250.21) and access the whole shebang via wifi.

Only really odd thing is that the Bullet won't let me set the radio button that enables wifi security. But it does it, because the remote network I'm using for test is secured with WPA2-PSK. Whatever - it works.
Now, once again, I can overpower other RV park wifi users and stream videos all day ;)
