Anyone used singlepoint for wifi

It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband (even if the weather was not the best).

You inquired as to whether I had used this unit in a remote location and I replied I had not.

This week we are in Huachuca City AZ. In this RV Park a number of folks with hotspots (typically smartphone hosted) are having issues even getting connected.

I am getting connected and while at times the exchange is slow I have been able to work every day with no great issue.

So this is not really quite remote but apparently the Verizon signal is not really strong here yet I am not impeded. Can't get DirectTV Satellite signal but no issue with internet via the singlepoint.

I believe the Moov box your husband is looking at is even more powerful. Of course we will still be dependent on the cellular service but apparently the technology of this unit is such that it helps with weaker service.

We do not do VOIP on this router. I use Ooma on at my fixed home and just have that forwarded to my Cell.

Also I do not normally do any streaming or gaming.

Thanks that would be nice. What gas station will you be at. My phone number is 575-494-4259. We are in a rv park right on pine st so it will be easy to come anytime.. Thanks again... The unit I bought was 650.00 I believe (I don't have the record right in front of me) but you should get a quote from the vendor.

I got 10 gig per month for 70.00 per month (again check with SinglePoint to get up-to-date pricing.

As I said I don't have the optional software to show usage so I am not sure of my usage thus far.

However, with another hotspot I used temporarily, I rarely got near the 10G limit. So I expect 10G will be sufficient for me. If you plan on doing a lot of streaming or gaming you might want more.

One of the things SinglePoint provides is you can use the campground WiFi through your router thus applying security which typically does not exist on campground WiFi.

You can also use this router with wired ethernet as well as cellular or WiFi.

Also with the hardware I have you can have 2 SIM cards and it will automattically find the strongest signal. I have that option but noot activated as I don't need it yet.

You also have the ability to define a guest login (unsecured).
