Anyone using a Vu Qube ?

Is anyone using the Vu Qube satellite cube ? It is similar to the Winegard from what I read online. It is only my wife and I in the fifth wheel so we wont need to watch two diff channels and I like the fact you can place it anywhere outside or on the roof etc.

I understand it might have draw backs like the dew on it like the wineguard ect but being its not mounted I can dry it off right away. From what I read it works with Bell, Dish and DTV and yes no HD channels but thats fine for the amount we will watch regular channels are ok with me. A local fellow had one for sale only 4 months old and he traded his RV and the new one had a dish mounted so he is selling at a decent price just wanted to hear pros and cons first.

Thanks

  • Which model did you get? VQ1000, VQ2000 or VQ2100?
  • Well I bought that used Qube today got it for a great price brought it home and had it running in 5 minutes ! Great addition to the 5er !
  • We also have a VuCube 2000 and love it. With DISH Network, it will receive HD, but not with DirectTV. Dew does not have any affect on mine. With the smaller internal dish, it is affected by rain more easily than a larger dish is, but not to extreme.
  • I have the VuQube VQ2100 and HIGHLY recommend it. I can't say enough good stuff about it.

Set it out, turn on its control box (mounted by the satellite receiver) and click "scan", and a few minutes later we have satellite.
  • i used a vucube while over the road and it was great. i only had the manual one(2000 i think?) but once you set it up a couple times its easy as pie. i will buy one again for sure. just remember some companies need two satelites for certain channels. i had direct tv and it was awesome and only one satelite to find. i didnt have a problem with dew
