I have an Apple IPhone 4. It's time for replacement. Last year my DH got an Android. I play with it once in awhile and hate it, but I really haven't given it much time. I was hoping for input from people who have had both, and which you liked better. Which are easier to use.

I have had both, currently own an iPhone. I think it is just a case of becoming familiar with the operating systems. I now have the iPhone as it syncs with my Macbook and iPad. I think the battery life on the Droid X that I had was better, I was using a app manager that shuts down designated apps to increase battery life.

ANDROID but of course They rule! Had an i and hated it...too propriety based. Android much more open. Luuuuuuuv it! Do you hear me?

i think the iPhone is easier to learnI think the Android phones offer more ways to set it up the way you wantbut takes a little more time to learn

Both platforms work well. There are people who will dogmatically tell you that you must purchase one over the other, but I usually attribute that to self-esteem issues that require them to get the validation of everyone else doing the same thing they did. Ignore those people. :)Since you already have an iphone, the transition to another iphone will be easier. Unless you have some major issue that would require you to change platforms, why do it?

Dislike saying this:Android has become something other than what it once was.Then again I'm a tinkerer and that's probably why I grew to start disliking it.I'd continue with the iThing.

I use My iPhone 'hotspot' all the time. Not an Android specific thing.

I like Android, because I'm always trying new roms in it, and tweaking the processor and gpu speed. As many times I came close to bricking it, I am still able to say it's a pretty hardy device. Apples good if you just want a phone, and you don't like messing with things, or a small screen. I'm in the market for a Galaxy s4 now, I want larger screen than my Sensation, and want something I can hack again.

No tweaking necessary for the iPhone 5S. It is already faster than any Android phone.
