I went to Best Buy today, got the Mobley and signed up for the "Connected Car Unlimited Data Plan (standalone)", $20/month. No problems.

I think it helped to have the exact pertinent details, copy and pasted, and printed to show the Geek Squad guy. No misunderstandings.

When I got home I got on att.com to set up online access to my account, and confirmed the details again. All good.
